At Pac-Met, product quality is job one. To meet the stringent requirements of our customers, our professional metallurgical laboratory staff continually verifies the processing of your product, thus qualifying the maximum characteristic for product performance.

Our laboratory facilities encompass a wide selection of cutting-edge technology and equipment, including—microscope work to 2000x, photomicrography, and micro-hardness testing.

Sample Preparation
Standard techniques of sample preparation include abrasive cutting, plastic encapsulated mounting and polishing of small or irregular samples. Special techniques for super-hard materials and replicative or on-site sample preparation are also available.

Micro-hardness Testing
Laboratory staff technicians observe and test the prepared samples to analyze their microstructure and hardness.
